Since the inception of this coalition GVT’s involvement in the affaiers and proceedings are of varied nature, like acting as a consulting member, enabler, facilitator, advocacy agency etc. Time to time, GVT has given inputs from its vast experience of working in the rural areas on issues related to migration of construction workers, skill up gradation, capacity building etc. to the coalition group meeting be it with the Chief Minister, Labour Commissioner, Lt. Governor, Central Labour Minister or any building construction company. Currently we are working for construction workers and sensitizing the Construction Workers Welfare Board, Local Authorities, Principal Employers and Builders about the Cess collection in to the welfare fund, registration of workers with the welfare board and benefits to the workers, like scholarship and crèches for workers children.
